Customer needs analysis
Our client sought a social, public environment where individuals could work personally and freelance, while also enjoying comfort and peace. Through detailed conversations, the target demographic—young people, freelancers, and students—and the core spatial ideas were clearly defined.
Margon’s proposed solution
The industrial style was chosen in collaboration with the architect because it’s modern, energetic, and resonates strongly with the target demographic. This approach brought harmony and continuity across all areas, including the open-concept kitchen, resulting in a truly distinctive environment. In Mashhad, where coffee shops are plentiful, embracing the industrial aesthetic with exciting color combinations was a deliberate and differentiating strategy.
Space analysis
The main challenge in this project was designing an optimal layout for the social tables, private area, and visible kitchen, given the limited space and the need for an interactive kitchen environment.
Margon’s proposed solution
We aimed for a space that was both highly functional and visually refreshing. Following an exploration of various interior layout concepts (some to be highlighted later), we extended our design philosophy to the exterior, creating a seamless connection with the cafe’s indoor atmosphere. This outdoor zone now offers a versatile and practical solution for diverse groups, from social gatherings to athletes and smokers.

While the bold, energetic colors specified by the visual identity team initially appeared at odds with an industrial setting, our creative strategy proved otherwise. By thoughtfully selecting materials like steel, iron, and colorful textiles, we skillfully fused this contrast into a delightful and harmonious environment.
Industrial design, with its steel and iron elements, can naturally feel cold. Since the social table was a key hub for interaction, it was essential to counterbalance this with warm, harmonious lighting. Given the spatial constraints, we achieved the ideal cafe lighting by designing a prominent fixture for the main table and beautiful illumination for the kitchen and counter.

Margoon strived to inspire the product designs directly from the coffee shop’s logo wherever possible.

Door
Inspired by the principles of minimal design and contemporary aesthetics, this door is a refined blend of clear glass, premium metal, and a deep, eye-catching blue panel. Its clean lines and geometric cuts lend it a sculptural elegance, transforming a functional element into a true design statement.
By welcoming natural light while subtly preserving privacy through a matte blue surface, it achieves the perfect balance between openness and intimacy.
